At YIT, the Kunto application is used for road maintenance

YIT specialises in year-round maintenance of roads and properties. The company has used the Kunto application in implementing the service contracts with cities and ELY centres that transferred to YIT from Lemminkäinen when the two companies merged. The application has been used for road and street maintenance since 2014, and it has proved useful. According to YIT’s construction manager Ville Pohjankunnas, the application has brought the company various benefits.

We use Kunto to document the work that has been done and any additional work commissioned. Where required, we can use the application to show that we have completed the work properly. In bridge inspections, Kunto allows us to save a significant amount of time, explains Pohjakunnas.

In service contracts where YIT uses Kunto, the application is used daily to verify the production of road maintenance services. Work management uses Kunto as a tool for checking the condition of the roads and the quality of the work. The application is also used in making investments and various observations.

Less manual work

The application has made work processes easier. According to Pohjankunnas, working methods have changed visibly since the Kunto application was introduced.

As Pohjankunnas sees it, the main benefit of the application is that it eliminates manual data entry from daily working routines.
