Content creator Hanna-Mari Lappalainen

Hanna-Mari Lappalainen started her work as a digital content creator and digital marketing specialist at Fluent Progress RT Oy in the beginning of January. Hanna-Mari tells about herself, her thoughts and plans in this blog post.

I hopped into content creation and digital marketing straight from journalist’s shoes which was quite a big change. I worked as a journalist in both print media and video productions for about six years in total. Before that I worked in all sorts of customer service tasks in both financial and commercial sector.

Even though my current job description differs a lot from the ones I’ve had earlier, the experience I’ve already obtained gives me plenty of transferable skills to my current tasks: As a journalist, to name a few, I learned diversely about content creation on different platforms, utilizing analytics in content creation as well as know-how of targeted content creation. In my opinion all of the above are in key positions in the customer-oriented content creation.

In 2023 Fluent’s pace will ramp up: We’re gradually aiming towards the global field and because of that active and even more relevant content creation is essential. It’s important for us to bring our solutions in front of right target audiences, in right platforms and in the right way. We have knowledge and skills of which few – on the industry nor outside this field – know about so now it’s time to make Fluent visible. Our goal this year is to raise awareness of both the consumers and the organizations working around outdoor activities about the possibilities of Fluent Outdoors. This goal create buzz in different social media platforms.

It’s important for us to bring our solutions in front of right target audiences, in right platforms and in the right way.

During the couple of weeks I’ve spent working at Fluent I’ve got the taste of this job so to speak; Along with content creation I’ve got to plan the marketing campaign that we’ll carry out early this year as well as influence our future project collaborations. The way to take care of things here at Fluent is professional, flexible, and modern and it really shows at Fluent that they really care and try to make it fun to work here – straight of the bat I got to brainstorm ideas in Fluent’s recreational activities group which was quite the positive surprise. Well-matched team members with good team spirit will always have positive multiplicative effects; all sorts of thoughts and ideas will be heard, and good team spirit shines outwards on top of that. This is excellent from content creation’s point of view as well and it creates a solid foundation to raise the visibility of Fluent.
