Fluent is a partner of the Snowmobile tourism in Kainuu project, which started in the fall of 2023 and will last until the summer of 2025. The main purpose of the project is to increase snowmobile tourism in the entire Kainuu area and to make Kainuu’s snowmobiling opportunities visible.
Fluent has supplied Kainuu with visitor counters along the snowmobile routes, based on the data from which recommendations can be made, for example regarding marketing measures. Visitor counters provide concrete data on which snowmobile routes in the Kainuu area are popular, and which have perhaps remained unknown to the larger public.
In addition, all the snowmobile routes in the project area will be added to the municipalities’ own Fluent Outdoors environments.
In the first phase of the project, in the winter season 2023–2024, a sufficient amount of data will be collected for conclusions, after which the necessary marketing measures will be taken. In the next season, the effectiveness of the measures will be monitored and further measures will be taken if necessary.
